About the Composer: Robert Sheldon

Robert Sheldon stands among today's most widely performed composers for wind band. His works appear on honor band and contest lists internationally, and his music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall Boston, the Kennedy Center, and the Sydney Opera House. Sheldon also leads the authorship of Sound Innovations for Concert Band and has earned recognition from the American School Band Director's Association, Phi Beta Mu, and ASCAP.

Beyond the page, Sheldon maintains an active schedule as guest conductor for All-State and Regional Honor Bands while presenting clinics at universities and state music education conferences across the United States and abroad, including Japan, Canada, Italy, Germany, Australia, and China. VanderCook College of Music awarded him an honorary doctorate in 2020.
