Phantom Regiment is an exciting marchlike piece in the minor mode, which starts with a crisp fanfare in the brass. After a smooth transition, the marcato first theme is introduced in the woodwinds. After the section builds and adds the brass, a second contrasting legato theme is introduced. The piece concludes with a return of the opening fanfare simultaneously juxtaposed against the two main themes. A real winner!
