About the Artist: Catherine Rollin

Catherine Rollin

Catherine Rollin is a composer and pianist whose career spans performance, education, and composition. She has presented masterclasses and workshops across the United States, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan, while maintaining an active teaching studio. Rollin earned her Bachelor of Musical Arts degree with distinction from the University of Michigan and her Master of Music degree from Oakland University School of Performing Arts.

Her compositional output has earned significant recognition within the music education field. Rollin has received commissions from Clavier Companion magazine, the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and the Michigan Music Teachers Association, with numerous works selected for the National Federation of Music Clubs Festivals Bulletin. She has served as a judge for the MTNA Student Composition Competition and the Lynn Freeman Olson Composition Contest. In 2018, she was commissioned for the MTNA's prestigious From the Pen to the Premiere series, and her ASCAP award-winning Museum Masterpieces collection has been featured prominently in recital settings.
