About the Arranger: Andy Beck
Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has established himself as one of the most performed choral composers of his generation, with over 450 works in print spanning sacred, secular, and theatrical repertoire. Beyond his prolific output as a composer and arranger, Beck has authored influential choral sight-singing resources including Sing at First Sight and Foundations in Choral Sight Singing, texts that have shaped how countless singers approach music literacy.
His work as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician has taken him throughout the United States and internationally, and he regularly conducts honor choirs and all-state groups. Beck holds degrees in Music Education from both Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University, and he brings that pedagogical foundation to every piece he arranges. A tenor himself, he performs with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir and has been an Alfred Music studio singer since 1992, grounding his work in lived musical experience.
