About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant
Tyler S. Grant has built an international reputation as a composer and arranger whose works appear regularly on all-state and honor ensemble programs across North America. His compositions have been performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall, The Midwest Clinic, and the Meyerson Symphony Center, while his Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 "Call for Fanfares" Competition. Since 2010, he has maintained a steady output of commissions and publications for bands and orchestras at all levels, establishing himself as a prolific voice in contemporary wind and orchestral music.
Beyond the composer's desk, Grant serves as an active clinician and conductor, having worked with over 100 school programs across 15 states and guest conducted honor ensembles throughout the United States. His mentorship from Brian Balmages shaped his compositional approach, and he has contributed educational resources to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series while engaging with music education publications and podcasts. Grant holds a degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting with Randall Coleman.
