About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has established himself as a composer and arranger whose music appears regularly on honor ensemble programs and curated repertoire lists across North America and internationally. His works have been performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, The Midwest Clinic, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and he has received commissions consistently since 2010. Grant earned his bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting with Randall Coleman.

Beyond composition, Grant maintains an active presence as a conductor and clinician, having worked with over 100 school instrumental programs across more than 15 states. He has also served as a contributing author for Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series and contributed to publications including School Band & Orchestra Magazine and The Instrumentalist. His mentor, Brian Balmages, was instrumental in shaping his development as a composer.
