About the Composer: Robert Sheldon
Robert Sheldon stands among the most frequently performed composers in wind band repertoire today. His works appear regularly on state and national contest lists, have been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Sydney Opera House, and are taught in concert halls and rehearsal rooms across six continents. He has received honors from the American School Band Directors Association, Phi Beta Mu, and ASCAP, and was awarded an honorary doctorate from VanderCook College of Music in 2020.
Beyond composition, Sheldon is the lead author of Sound Innovations for Concert Band and maintains an active schedule as guest conductor for All-State and Regional Honor Bands.
