About the Composer: Jack Bullock
Jack Bullock brings decades of real-world experience to his compositions. A trained trumpet performer who worked with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, he studied with some of the finest brass teachers of his era and performed across the country with traveling ensembles. His education credentials span three degrees in music education, grounding his work in pedagogy and student development.
With over 600 published works across concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band, Bullock has shaped how school musicians learn and perform. He taught instrumental music for 20 years, including seven years as an assistant band director at the Ithaca College School of Music, where he also chaired the Music Education Department. His contributions to school music curricula and his ongoing ASCAP membership reflect a career dedicated to both creative output and music education advancement.
