His range extends far beyond choral music; he has scored theatrical productions, arranged Broadway standards, and built an extensive catalog of piano works across jazz, gospel, and classical idioms.
Recognized by Baylor's Center for Christian Music Studies for his leadership in the field, Hayes has conducted world premieres of major works including his Requiem and has been commissioned by institutions globally, from prep schools in Hong Kong to professional choral ensembles across North America.
