Bert Stratton's path to composing began with obsessive listening. Growing up surrounded by his parents' diverse record collection, he found each song opened a door to somewhere new, and he spent childhood chasing that feeling. Piano lessons started at seven; guitar followed six years later. By the time he reached Ithaca College, he was analyzing not just harmonic movement and modulation but the architecture of lyrics and rhyme schemes alongside every other musical element.

His catalog now spans hundreds of compositions, with placements across major publishers including Shawnee Press, Carl Fischer, and Alfred. A career milestone arrived when Pat Boone recorded one of his songs as a title track, validating years of craft refinement. As an ASCAP member with four self-produced CDs and thousands of copies sold worldwide, Stratton has relocated to Nashville to pursue songwriting full time, bringing the same relentless pursuit of excellence that has defined his work since those early piano lessons.
