About the Composer: Vicki Tucker Courtney

Vicki Tucker Courtney began her musical journey at age four with classical piano training. Her years studying music and accompanying choirs at North Texas State University shaped a prolific career in composition and arrangement across multiple media: choral music, piano, handbells, and solo voice.

Courtney has earned multiple ASCAP Plus Awards throughout her career and counts Mark Hayes among her mentors, studying with the Dove Award winner in 2002 and 2004. By 2009, she had published 100 titles; that number grew to over 350 by 2017. She continues to compose and arrange full time while teaching piano and composition to students of all ages in Columbia, Tennessee.
