About the Composer: Brian Beck

Brian Beck brings two decades of experience as a composer, arranger, and clinician across instrumental and vocal settings. His catalog includes works performed at TMEA Honor Band concerts, Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic presentations, and UIL state competitions. His compositions have earned recognition including "Reviewer's Choice" from The Instrumentalist and "Best New Concert Band Music" from Tom Lee Music, and several have been adopted into state prescribed music lists across Texas, Ohio, Florida, and the Pacific Northwest.

Beck holds degrees in music education from Texas A&M University-Commerce and the University of Houston. He has directed bands at both Byrd Middle School in Duncanville and Faubion Middle School in McKinney, Texas, earning consistent Superior ratings at UIL contests and a 2008-09 Teacher of the Year nomination. His ensembles have advanced to TMEA State Honor Band finals and performed at major clinics including The Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago.
