The use (or overuse) of the cowbell in pop music of the '70s was famously portrayed on a Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell. Here is an entertaining medley of cowbell-laden classics including "(Don't Fear) The Reaper, Low Rider, Drive My Car", and "Oye Como Va".
