Christian Petzold (1677–1733) was a German Baroque composer and organist who spent much of his career in Dresden, where he served as court organist and composer. Though he wrote substantial sacred and instrumental music during his lifetime, many of his compositions were later misattributed or lost, making his actual output difficult to pin down.
