About the Composer: Rossano Galante

Rossano Galante grew up in Buffalo, New York, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Trumpet Performance from SUNY Buffalo in 1992. That same year, he was one of nineteen musicians worldwide selected for the University of Southern California's Film Scoring Program, where he studied under the late Jerry Goldsmith, Academy Award winner for The Omen. Since relocating to California in 1999, Galante has built a prolific career in film orchestration, collaborating with Oscar-nominated composers including Marco Beltrami, Christophe Beck, Brian Tyler, and Christopher Lennertz on over eighty studio films ranging from Marvel blockbusters to prestige dramas.

Beyond his film work, Galante maintains an active presence in the concert music world. He has composed and arranged extensively for concert band and orchestra, with over 68 published compositions across major music publishers including Alfred, Schirmer, Hafabra, C.L. Barnhouse, Musikverlag Frank, and Dehaske/Curnow. His concert band works reflect his gift for orchestration and thematic development, earning commissions from ensembles across the globe.
