About the Arranger: Chris Sharp
Chris Sharp holds a doctorate and has built a career spanning performance, composition, arranging, and education. As a trombonist, he spent eleven years performing and leading ensembles at Walt Disney World, and since 1984 has arranged music for Disney parks worldwide across live shows, recordings, and television broadcasts. His freelance work includes projects for Universal Studios, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the Boston Pops, the Dallas Brass, and military bands including the USAF Airmen of Note.
Sharp brings classroom experience to his arranging work, having taught music at middle school, high school, and college levels. He currently directs bands at Polk State College in Winter Haven, Florida, where he also teaches theory, technology, and arranging. His concert and jazz band compositions have earned multiple ASCAP Plus awards and regular performances at the Midwest Clinic. He serves as a clinician, guest conductor, and adjudicator for organizations including Bands of America and Drum Corps International.
