M.W.A. (Musicians with Attitude)

Here's a hip and contemporary tune for jazz ensemble, and what a great title! Well-known jazz pianist/composer David Benoit arranged his own composition, "M.W.A. (Musicians with Attitude)," in a funky hip-hop style setting. He has succeeded in scoring the contemporary sound by using fresh and modern harmonies in his arrangement, yet he has kept this chart in the tradition of the Jazz Band Series. Solos for piano, alto sax, trumpet and trombone, along with easy rhythms and reasonable ranges, make this one a great choice. Go for M.W.A!
