Joseph M. Martin

Joseph M. Martin studied piano performance at Furman University and earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he later taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department for five years. A accomplished concert pianist, he won the Nina Plant Wideman Competition and has performed as a soloist with orchestras across the United States and Mexico, including a nationally broadcast recital at Ex-convento del Carman in Guadalajara.

Today Martin divides his creative energy between composing and arranging sacred music for church musicians and performing in worship settings and conferences nationwide. His works span from concert halls like Carnegie Hall to hundreds of congregations across North America, reflecting both his classical training and deep commitment to the spiritual life of faith communities. He lives in Austin, Texas with his family.
