About the Composer: Brian Beck
Brian Beck is a composer and arranger whose works span instrumental and vocal ensembles. His compositions have earned recognition including Reviewer's Choice awards from The Instrumentalist and J. W. Pepper, and have been selected for Teaching Music Through Performance In Band and numerous state prescribed music lists across Texas, Ohio, Florida, and the Pacific Northwest. His arrangements and original works appear regularly at regional and state clinics, band festivals, and honor band concerts.
Beck has directed bands at both middle and high school levels in Texas, where his ensembles earned consistent Superior ratings at UIL contests and state honor band selections. He holds degrees in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce and the University of Houston, and was a member of the TMEA All-State Band as a student. His experience as both educator and clinician informs his arrangement writing, which balances musical substance with practical classroom viability.
