About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant
Tyler S. Grant has built a reputation as a composer and arranger whose music appears regularly on honor ensemble programs and award lists across North America and beyond. His works have been performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, The Midwest Clinic, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, while his composition Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 "Call for Fanfares" Competition and has since circulated among collegiate and professional ensembles nationwide.
Beyond composing, Grant maintains an active schedule as a conductor and clinician, having worked with over 100 school music programs across 15 states and guest conducted all-state bands throughout the country. He earned his degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting under Randall Coleman, and has contributed to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series and various music education publications. His mentorship under composer Brian Balmages profoundly shaped his artistic development.
