About the Composer: Sally K. Albrecht

Sally K. Albrecht has shaped elementary and middle school choral music for over three decades, both as a composer and as Director of School Choral, Vocal, and Elementary Publications at major educational publishers. Her catalog includes more than 600 choral works and 75 songbooks and musicals, with consistent recognition through ASCAP Special Music Awards since 1987. She has conducted honor choirs at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and The Kennedy Center, and has taught at Oakland University, Jersey City State College, and Meredith College.

Albrecht holds degrees from Rollins College (B.A. in Music and Theater, 1976) and the University of Miami (M.A. in Drama, 1977; M.M. in Accompanying, 1979). Her contributions to music education earned her the Distinguished Alumna Award from both institutions. She currently resides in North Carolina and serves as a leadership advocate through her work with the Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, where she holds the "Pillar of Leadership" award.
