Interplay (American Concertette)

This "little concerto" is in four distinct movements, opening with a vigorous, rhythmic theme and development. Movement two is in the style of a gavotte, hinting at a tongue-in-cheek treatment of a classical dance. The third movement is blues, the BEST of the blues. It's slow, simple, nostalgic. Movement four is entitled "Very Fast," a rousing grand finale.
