About the Composer: Andy Beck

Andy Beck directs choral publications at Alfred Music and has composed and arranged more than 450 works for choirs, vocalists, and young performers. His vocal resources and children's musicals reach singers around the world; a glance at YouTube performance videos shows the breadth and reach of his catalog. He holds degrees in Music Education from Ithaca College and Northwest Missouri State University and has served as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator for honor choirs across the country, including all-state ensembles throughout the Southeast.

Beyond his publishing role, Beck is an active musician and educator. He performs as a tenor with the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, directs and performs in musical theatre, and has contributed to Alfred Music's studio recordings since 1992. His work as a conductor, choreographer, and clinician reflects a deep commitment to choral artistry and music literacy. This dedication shapes both his original compositions and the thoughtful choral publications he oversees.
