Written for the 40th anniversary of Pastor Buckner Fanning's ministry at Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, this anthem may be used to honor any and all of God's chosen ones as they begin or end their time in His service. About the Composer: Joseph M. Martin
Joseph M. Martin studied piano performance at Furman University and later earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also taught in the Piano Pedagogy Department for five years. A accomplished recitalist who has performed with orchestras throughout the United States and Mexico, Martin won the Nina Plant Wideman Competition and appeared with the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra. His concert work has taken him from Carnegie Hall to regional theaters, though in recent years he has focused his energy on church music and conferences for worship musicians.
Based in Austin, Texas, Martin balances his ongoing performance schedule with a prolific composing and arranging practice. His catalog spans sacred and secular genres, and his work continues to reach congregations and concert halls across North America. The breadth of his output reflects both his classical training and his deep commitment to serving the church music community.
