Pepper Choplin holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Bachelor of Music) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas (Master of Music in composition). Over the course of his career, he has created more than two hundred anthems alongside seven choral musicals, drawing inspiration from diverse musical worlds ranging from rock and bluegrass to classical and theme park entertainment.

As Minister of Music at Greystone Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, Choplin channels his creative vision into worship planning that connects immediately with congregations. He conducts clinics and leads events across the country as composer, conductor, and performer, delivering music that moves audiences to both laughter and reflection. His recorded work includes the self-produced album Pepper Is My Real Name, which showcases his gift for humor, and Hold On, a solo collection of his most cherished inspirational pieces.
