About the Composer: Jack Bullock
Jack Bullock brings together deep training in music education with a prolific career as a composer and arranger. He holds degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in Music Education, and studied trumpet with renowned pedagogues Harry Glantz, James Ode, and Craig McHenry. His performance experience spans the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra, Miami Opera Company, regional show bands, and touring dance ensembles.
With more than 600 published works across concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band, Bullock has shaped music education through both composition and institutional leadership. He taught instrumental music in K-12 settings for 20 years and served as assistant band director at Ithaca College's School of Music, where he also chaired the Music Education Department for four years. His contributions to music curriculum include co-authoring the Belwin 21st Century Band Method and arranging for Music Expressions, Alfred Music's school music program. An ASCAP member since 1980, Bullock has conducted clinics and workshops across North America and Europe.
