About the Composer: George L. O. Strid
George L. O. Strid grew up in Oregon and earned degrees from Oregon College of Education and Western Oregon State College, where he studied composition and music education. He spent 38 years as a vocal music teacher at the middle school level before retiring.
Strid has written songs and musicals for more than three decades alongside his longtime collaborator Mary Donnelly. He holds membership in ASCAP, ACDA, NEA, and MENC, reflecting his deep commitment to choral music and music education.
