With over 120 published works for concert band, string orchestra, and chamber ensemble, Watson has developed a compositional voice that bridges contemporary classical music and the practical needs of school ensembles. His works have been performed at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, and the White House. He contributes regularly to Alfred Publications' Sound Innovations series and serves as a guest clinician for festival and honor bands nationwide.
