About the Composer: Jon Bubbett

Jon Bubbett taught concert band for 26 years at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, before retiring after nearly four decades in music education. His contributions to the field earned him six NBA Citations of Excellence and the Phi Beta Mu Rho Chapter Bandmaster of the Year Award in 2015.

As a clinician, adjudicator, and composer, Bubbett has worked across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, and served as a panelist for the Alabama Music Educators Association and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. His published works appear through multiple publishers including Belwin, Make Music, and Wingert-Jones. He remains active conducting the Celebration Winds Community Concert Band and holds memberships in the National Band Association, ASCAP, and Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity.
