About the Composer: Bob Cerulli

Bob Cerulli

Bob Cerulli's career spans performance, composition, and music education across multiple ensembles and contexts. A Curtis Institute graduate who studied double bass with Roger Scott, Cerulli earned degrees in music education from the University of the Arts and conducting from the College of New Jersey. He performed as principal bassist with the Greater Trenton Symphony, New Jersey Capital Philharmonic, and Delaware Valley Philharmonic, and freelanced extensively in Philadelphia and Atlantic City alongside Broadway artists, film composers including Henry Mancini and Michel LeGrand, and internationally renowned singers such as Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli.

Cerulli's compositional voice has been performed by major orchestras, including his work Celebration by the Philadelphia Orchestra. His chamber compositions, such as Romance in D Major for cello and piano, have been premiered by principal musicians from leading orchestras. For nearly three decades, Cerulli taught music in public schools, and he currently serves as a Senior Adjunct Professor at Rowan College at Burlington County, where he conducts orchestral performances and reading sessions for regional music festivals.
