Vicki Tucker Courtney began piano study at age four and built her musical foundation through rigorous classical training. Her time at North Texas State University deepened her skills in choral accompaniment, launching a composing and arranging career that spans multiple genres and mediums including choir, piano, handbells, and solo voice.

Recognized annually by ASCAP Plus Awards, Courtney has established herself as a prolific and consistent voice in sacred music. She studied directly under Dove Award winner Mark Hayes in 2002 and 2004, and her catalog has grown from 100 published titles in 2009 to over 350 by 2017. Beyond writing, she maintains an active schedule teaching piano and composition to students across all levels while serving churches in both traditional and contemporary capacities. She is based in Columbia, Tennessee.
