About the Composer: Jack Bullock

Jack Bullock brings classroom experience and scholarly depth to his compositional work. He holds degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in music education, and spent two decades teaching instrumental music in schools, including seven years at Ithaca College's School of Music where he served as assistant band director and chaired the Music Education Department. His performance background spans classical trumpet study with accomplished teachers and professional engagements with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, as well as touring dance and show bands across the country.

As a composer and arranger, Bullock has created over 600 works for concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band. He is a co-author of the Belwin 21st Century Band Method and contributed arrangements to Music Expressions, Alfred Music's comprehensive school music curriculum. His work has earned recognition through ASCAP membership since 1980 and inclusion in national biographical directories. Bullock has conducted clinics and workshops throughout the United States, Canada, and England.
