Heather Sorenson is a Dallas-based composer and arranger whose music spans churches, universities, concert halls, and competition stages internationally. A pianist first, she has become known for orchestral and choral works that blend traditional and contemporary Christian idioms into a distinctive voice. Her commissions have ranged from Texas A&M University to the Carnegie Hall premiere of her oratorio EXODUS, alongside numerous institutional and private projects.
Teaching runs deep in Sorenson's practice. She spent four years directing elementary music at Grace Academy of Dallas, served as adjunct faculty at Baylor University, and regularly leads master classes and workshops across America on piano, composition, and songwriting. As a guest conductor and lecturer at churches and worship conferences, she continues shaping how musicians approach both the craft and the spiritual dimensions of their work.
