About the Composer: Douglas E. Wagner
Douglas E. Wagner studied music at Butler University, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees before spending three decades as a high school music director and administrator in his native Chicago area. Since 1973, he has established himself as one of the most prolific composers in American music education, with more than 3,500 published works spanning choir, band, orchestra, handbell ensemble, organ, piano, and voice.
His output has reached staggering scale: over seventeen million copies of his music are in use worldwide, performed in concert halls, broadcast on radio and television, and heard in schools and churches across the United States and internationally. Wagner now focuses his full energy on composition and continues to reside in Indianapolis with his wife, Sandy.
