About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant
Tyler S. Grant has built a reputation as a prolific composer and arranger for concert bands, orchestras, and chamber ensembles across all difficulty levels. His works appear regularly on honor ensemble and state festival programs, and his compositions have earned recognition including a 2014 win in the Dallas Wind Symphony's "Call for Fanfares" Competition. Panoramic Fanfare has since received performances by collegiate and professional ensembles throughout North America.
Beyond the studio, Grant maintains an active presence as a conductor and clinician, working with school instrumental programs across more than 15 states and appearing at venues including The Midwest Clinic, Carnegie Hall, and Bands of America Grand Nationals. He holds a bachelor's degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting with Randall Coleman. His mentorship under composer Brian Balmages proved instrumental to his development as a composer, and he has channeled that influence into his consistent output of new commissions and publications since 2010.
