About the Arranger: Patti Drennan

Patti Drennan

Patti Drennan shaped choral programs across Oklahoma for nearly three decades, teaching at both West Mid-High School and Norman High School where her ensembles consistently earned superior ratings. Her work in the classroom earned her Teacher of the Year recognition and, in 2004, the Director of Distinction Award from the Oklahoma Choral Directors Association. She holds degrees in music education from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma.

Since retiring from full-time teaching, Drennan has become one of the most prolific choral arrangers in America with over 425 octavos published and more than two million copies in circulation. She regularly conducts workshops and clinics across North America, serves as a guest director for church composer weekends, and continues collaborating musically with her daughter Emily, a musical theater performer in New York. Her compositions have been performed at Carnegie Hall, and she remains active in both composition and music education leadership.
