Vince Gassi has been composing for Alfred Music since 2006, building a catalog of over 100 published works that balance genuine musical substance with accessibility for young ensembles. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario with advanced study at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles and a Ph.D. from York University in Toronto, Gassi brings both classroom experience and advanced training to his writing. For a quarter century he taught instrumental music at the elementary and secondary levels, and he remains deeply active as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician.
