About the Composer: Vince Gassi
Vince Gassi has shaped young ensemble music for over 25 years as an instrumental music educator at the elementary and secondary levels. His catalog exceeds 100 published works, many of which have become staples on honor band and festival programs across North America, Europe, and Japan. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario and completed advanced studies in composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. In 2024, he earned his Ph.D. from York University in Toronto.
In demand as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician throughout the United States and Canada, Gassi brings direct classroom experience to his compositional voice. His seminars on creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors reflect his commitment to both the artistic and practical sides of music education. His works appear regularly at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago and have been recorded by ensembles worldwide.
