Brian Beck is a composer and arranger whose concert band works have earned recognition from The Instrumentalist, J. W. Pepper, and Tom Lee Music. His compositions appear on prescribed music lists across Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Washington, and his writing has been featured in GIA Publications' Teaching Music Through Performance In Band series. Beck holds degrees in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce and the University of Houston, and has directed bands at both the middle and high school levels in Texas, earning consistent Superior ratings at UIL contests and invitations to perform at major festivals including the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic.

Beck's experience as an educator and clinician informs his compositional voice. His bands have competed successfully in state-level competitions and UIL sight-reading contests, and his work as a director gives him direct insight into what younger ensembles need. He remains active as a freelance composer, arranger, and clinician for instrumental and vocal groups.
