About the Composer: Brian Beck

Brian Beck is a composer and arranger whose works span instrumental and vocal ensembles at all levels. His music has appeared in TMEA Honor Band concerts, state marching competitions, UIL prescribed music lists, and the Teaching Music Through Performance In Band series published by GIA Publications. He has earned recognition including "Reviewer's Choice" from The Instrumentalist and J. W. Pepper, and "Best New Concert Band Music" from Tom Lee Music.

Beck has directed bands in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, most recently at Faubion Middle School in McKinney, Texas, and previously at Byrd Middle School in Duncanville, where he was nominated for Teacher of the Year. His ensembles have consistently earned Superior ratings at UIL contests and have been selected to perform at prestigious venues including the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. He holds degrees in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce and the University of Houston.
