About the Composer: Ralph Ford

Ralph Ford has built a career spanning composition, arranging, conducting, and music education across three decades. Beginning as a student arranger in Panama City, Florida at age fifteen, he went on to earn his degrees from Troy State University while serving simultaneously as Director of Jazz Ensemble I and staff arranger for the university band program. He held faculty positions teaching orchestration, arranging, theory, jazz studies, and brass for fifteen years before transitioning to full-time composing and arranging.

Since 1999, Ford has worked as an exclusive composer and arranger for the Belwin division of Alfred Music, with over 250 published titles for orchestra, concert band, jazz ensemble, and marching band performed by school, university, military, and professional ensembles worldwide. Beyond the concert hall, his media work includes broadcast composition, jingles, television and radio production, and video soundtracks, earning him international and regional advertising awards for his contributions to animation and commercial music.
