About the Composer: Carl Strommen

Carl Strommen's catalog spans band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and choral music, making him one of the most widely performed composers and arrangers working today. His works appear regularly in concert halls, on television, and in film scores. Strommen maintains an active schedule as both a commissioned composer and guest clinician at festivals and universities across the country.

A City College of New York alumnus, Strommen continues to shape the next generation of composers as an adjunct professor of orchestration and composition at C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. He has earned the ASCAP Standard Writers Award annually throughout his career, a testament to the consistent quality and breadth of his output. Based on Long Island, Strommen divides his time between New York and Colorado with his family.
