About the Composer: Keith Sharp
Keith Sharp has shaped string education across Brisbane's school system since 1985, most recently at Brisbane State High School where he directs ensemble and group instruction. His educational compositions have gained international recognition, with numerous pieces published by Alfred Music and The FJH Music Company and selected as "Editor's Choice" in major orchestral catalogs.
Beyond the classroom, Sharp serves the music education community as a guest clinician, composer, and conductor at schools, camps, and workshops. His contributions have earned him the Ryan Recognition and Campbell Newman "Can Do, Educator of the Year" awards, as well as AUSTA's State Award for Queensland. He holds a Bachelor of Music and a Graduate Diploma of Further Education and co-authored the Encore on Strings series with collaborators.
