About the Composer: Todd Stalter

Todd Stalter built his reputation as Director of Bands at Eureka High School in Illinois, where he spent 34 years developing one of the state's most successful band programs. His marching band won 16 Class 1A state championships, his concert ensembles consistently earned Superior ratings at IHSA contests, and his groups performed at Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Walt Disney World. Beyond the high school, he has conducted All-State Bands in Georgia and Delaware, adjudicated at state contests across multiple states, and presented clinics at major music education conferences.

Stalter holds degrees in Music Education and Trumpet Performance from Illinois State University, where he studied with members of the U.S. Marine Band and worked under renowned conductors. His compositions for band and string orchestra are performed nationwide and appear on state contest lists; many are featured in the GIA publication Teaching Music Through Performance in Band. He is an inductee of the Illinois State Marching Band Championships Hall of Fame.
