About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant

Tyler S. Grant has built a prolific composing career grounded in direct work with school and honor ensembles across the country. His compositions appear regularly on state and national festival programs, and his fanfare Panoramic Fanfare won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 competition before gaining performances by collegiate and professional groups throughout North America. Since 2010, he has balanced steady commission work with clinic engagements, serving as a guest conductor and educational resource for over 100 instrumental programs across 15 states.

Grant studied instrumental music education and conducting at the University of Alabama under Professor Randall Coleman, crediting mentor Brian Balmages as essential to his compositional development. His works have been heard at major venues including The Midwest Clinic, Carnegie Hall, Music for All's National Concert Band Festival, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Beyond composing, he has contributed to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series and regularly appears in interviews with music education publications.
