About the Composer: Mark Williams
Mark Williams earned recognition as a prolific composer across band, orchestra, and choral genres, with more than 200 published works in circulation. Beyond composing, he co-authored the Accent on Achievement Band Method and spent decades as an active clinician and guest conductor, visiting 34 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia to work directly with student musicians.
Williams held degrees from Eastern Washington University and spent much of his career teaching elementary band in Washington state. His achievements include winning the Western International Band Clinic's Gralia Competition and receiving multiple ASCAP Special Awards. He also performed professionally as a bassoon player and served as conductor and artistic director for the Spokane British Brass Band, bringing his pedagogical and performance expertise together throughout his musical life.
