About the Composer: Vince Gassi
Vince Gassi has been composing for young ensembles since 2006 and now has over 100 published works to his name. His music balances accessibility with genuine artistic substance, earning him frequent performances at major festivals and clinics across North America, Europe, and Japan. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario, studied composition and arranging at the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles, and completed his Ph.D. in composition at York University in Toronto.
For a quarter-century, Gassi taught instrumental music at the elementary and secondary levels while building an international reputation as a guest conductor, adjudicator, and clinician. His workshops on creative engagement and digital workflows for music directors reflect his commitment to both student development and teacher effectiveness. His work appears regularly on contest and concert programs worldwide.
