About the Composer: Tyler S. Grant
Tyler S. Grant has built a reputation as a composer and arranger whose music appears regularly on honor ensemble programs and curated repertoire lists across North America and internationally. His commissions and publications have grown steadily since 2010, with performances ranging from the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to Carnegie Hall, and his fanfare work won the Dallas Wind Symphony's 2014 composition competition. Beyond the page, Grant maintains an active presence as a clinician and conductor, having worked with over 100 school programs across 15 states and led ensembles at venues including The Midwest Clinic and all-state bands throughout the country.
Grant earned his degree in instrumental music education from the University of Alabama, where he studied conducting under Randall Coleman. He credits Brian Balmages as instrumental to his development as a composer and has contributed educational resources to Alfred Music's Sound Innovations series and articles in industry publications like School Band & Orchestra Magazine and The Instrumentalist.
