About the Composer: Jack Bullock
Jack Bullock brings deep experience across performance, composition, and music education. A trumpeter who has performed with the Miami Philharmonic Orchestra and Miami Opera Company, as well as with regional and touring dance ensembles, he approaches orchestration with a performer's ear. He holds degrees at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in Music Education and has composed and arranged over 600 works across concert band, orchestra, jazz ensemble, and marching band.
Bullock spent two decades teaching instrumental music in K-12 classrooms and served as an assistant band director at the Ithaca College School of Music, where he also chaired the Music Education Department for four years. He co-authored the Belwin 21st Century Band Method and contributed arrangements to Music Expressions, Alfred Music's school curriculum. An ASCAP member since 1980, he has conducted clinics and workshops throughout the United States, Canada, and England.
