Richard L. Saucedo spent 31 years as Director of Bands and Chairman of Performing Arts at Carmel High School in Indiana, where he built one of the nation's most decorated band programs. His ensembles earned state, regional, and national titles across concert, jazz, and marching categories, with Carmel's Wind Symphony reaching the Music for All National Festival three times and the Marching Greyhounds placing in the BOA Grand National top ten for 17 consecutive years.
Beyond the high school podium, Saucedo has shaped the landscape of competitive music through leadership roles with Music for All, Bands of America, and the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, where he contributed arrangements to five DCI world championships. His dual recognition as Indiana's Bandmaster of the Year (1998-99) and induction into both the Music for All Hall of Fame and Drum Corps International Hall of Fame reflects a career defined by excellence in performance, education, and composition across multiple ensembles and genres.
